The bite quote is actually very low on carp fishing. Regulary two fish max per day what mostly included a whole day and night. Chances of getting something else beides the target fish is very low because of the hair rig style and an fairly large bait like boilies. But the miss quote is on the other side very low.

This type of fishing is something you have to like. You leave your line for many hours untouched and just wait.

It sounds like you better like playing cards and drinking with some carp fishing on the side.

The creaking noises were a bit much. They did find a big boy though.

How much is 55 stone? Google tells me a number, but I am not sure I believe it.

Stones are an british thing, 350 kg for me or 770 lbs for you. Almost as much as an Yamaha 4 x 4 ATV or like a decent or as much as a big welsh Pony, a drawf horse race.

That's what Google told me. The dude looks big, but I would never have guessed that much. The fact that he is walking is impressive.

It was a damn fine day. Took the wife out and she snagged a few as well. Can't beat that type of date night. :)

Fall is here in the north country. The bigger fish are starting to move shallow to put on size and weight for the coming winter. Seems early, but there is no disputing what we experienced last weekend. 4 fish, all between 16-18 inches, all between 3-4 pounds. Extra fat and heavy. I fish the docks on this lake a lot and to catch one 3 pounder shallow in 3-4 hours is pretty normal. We only caught 4 fish in 2 hours, but they were all right around 3 pounds. Big guys are moving in, pushing the littles out. It's time to hunt for that 20 incher. :D

Wife caught two 17 inchers.
