I scored today on two very uncommen sized tanks. They was practicing pieces of a midterm exam of the Aqurium builders apprentices. Well I payed 60 bucks for two 55 Gallon tanks but the dimensions are 47,2 x 23,6 x 11,8. The reason for this is that they are made from 10 mm glass leftovers.

I don't know why i bought them, i had a few ideas but a real purposes for this tanks? So if anybody has an idea for this tanks let me know.

Just shy of 4ft long x 2ft wide x 1ft high?

I've always liked tanks with more width (front to back) than on most standard tanks here in the US. At the same time, I don't like tall tanks because they're too difficult to reach into. I'd take away height to add to the width on most tanks, but your two 55 take that to the extreme. I'd really like to have them though ... at least one.

My first thought is a planted tank with dwarf cichlids, maybe apistos? Before, I've considered getting a long, short tank and planting anubias and java or Christmas moss on small thin driftwood with frogbit floating on the surface, maybe another plant or two, and adding some small commuity fish.

Nice tanks!

The founders of our Country (USA) left Europe because they were "different" and wanted to stay that way. :tounge:
