I've been a member here for awhile but this is my first post - I'm more of a browser. Lost my Tiger Oscar last night - Bob was around 3 years old and 10-12 inches. He was the more passive of the two. My other Oscar is bigger and aggressive. I was hoping to find a source that sells big Oscars so that I can hopefully find a tank mate that Fred can't bully and harass. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Thank you!

Sorry about your Oscar loss. I would suggest that you wont be able to just heave another adult Oscar into your current Oscar's tank. That is his domain, visitors not welcome. If the tank is big enough, 6ft, couple hundred gallons, you may be able to completely re-scape the thing, and try another Oscar. Still high odds against imho.

If Fred was harassing the other, if he's done it once, he'll do it again. You're better off making it a single species tank.

or you can attempt what NothStar has suggested. I wouldn't attempt it in a tank less then 200 gallons
65 gallon
2 yellow tail aceis
4 juvenile peacocks
2 Synodontis lucipinnis

5.5 Gallon
Half moon Betta

The psych meter has gone from sane to insane.

Thanks for the input - the tank is 125 gallons and that's as big as it's going to get. Guess I'll give it awhile and make a decision. Again Thanks!
