I got a baby ebjd and he stays hidden all the time. He is in a 75 gallon tank with a 2in oscar. My oscar is not aggressive at all. He has been in there for weeks, I'm not sure if he is eating but I do see him out of his root from time to time. I'm trying blood worms, what else could do the trick to get him to eat.

Get him out there soon and give him his own tank with Platys or swordtails or other larger livebearers as tank community.

As soon the Oscar grows (way quicker as an EBJD) he will become aggressive or may even try to eat him if he fits.
Also JDs need alot of tank covering like tubes, caves, driftwood (or plants) to feel comfortable.
It do not matter what kind of ornament you use but they need covering. If the feel secure they will come out and show them way more often.
We need to stop talking about the people as if they were the crown of creation.
